Bayou City Event Center, Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Vedanta Institute Houston (VIH) is proud to announce it will be presenting a noteworthy seminar by the inspiration for the institutes’ work, Swami Parthasarathy, at the Bayou City Event Center on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Hosts, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Consul General of India Anupam Ray, will welcome guests to the auspicious event.
Swami Parthasarathy, affectionately known as Swamiji, is the self-realized founder and chief acharya of the Vedanta Academy in India. The 91-year-old teacher has traveled the world for the past 60 years on speaking engagements and has authored 12 books.
Businesses are composed of individuals. When they understand themselves and function optimally, business prospers and individuals flourish. Swamiji's seminars address the composition and optimal utilization of the most important and often neglected asset in business: you the individual.
Vedanta says the mind should be at rest while the body engages in action, yet action often comes with stress and fatigue. It does not have to be that way. Work done right can be restful, while actually generating energy. We should look forward to Monday mornings. In lives spent mostly at work, this technique is personally life-changing and has been shown to directly improve the bottom line.
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 experience a unique evening with speaker, author, and philosopher, Swami Parthasarathy. The occasion will begin with registration and hors d’oeuvres, which will be followed by the introduction of Swami Parthasarathy by Judge Emmett. Swamiji will then deliver his Intense Work Is Rest seminar, which will be followed by a Q&A. Consul General Anupam Ray will deliver the vote of thanks, and dinner will follow.
It will be an event you will want to share with your leadership team, family, and friends.
Vedanta is yoga for the intellect. It means reuniting and reconnecting. By studying it, we reconnect with our true selves by asking, “Who am I,” “Where am I going,” “Where am I from,” and “What is my purpose in life?” The time-tested process of study and reflection enhances peace and productivity, leading us to the ultimate reunion with our true selves. VIH is dedicated to making Vedanta yoga available to everyone through weekly study groups, corporate management programs, addresses to community groups, and Swami Parthasarathy's Houston seminar. All its programs are based on his accessible translation of the ancient Vedanta philosophy for modern life.
