Come Join the Fun at the 14th Annual Rockin’ Resiliency Luncheon

This year’s Rockin’ Resiliency Luncheon, which will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Houston’s Royal Sonesta Hotel, beginning at 11 a.m., promises to be as much fun as luncheons of the past. Hosted by The Women’s Fund for Health Education (The Women’s Fund), a nonprofit providing Houston-area women and girls with the tools needed to be advocates for their health, the event will be cochaired by mother-daughter duo,  Donae and Bella Chramosta. It is open to guests, along with girls and women who participate in The Women’s Fund programs.

 

Gina Gaston of ABC 13 will serve as emcee, and Alexis Loving, CEO of SEARCH Homeless Services of Houston, will be the keynote speaker. An education session on trending topics such as “My Body, My Mind, Myself,” “What’s Stress Got to do With It?” “Post it, Snap it, Tweet it!” and “Creating Change for a Healthier YOU” will begin at 11 a.m. and is open to all participants.  

 

Guests are invited to participate in the silent auction as well as the exciting baubles and bubbles champagne raffle, which will feature luxury prizes, like fine jewelry, and unique experiences. Girls will be able to purchase “Balloon Pop Bags” containing fun gifts and restaurant vouchers. Everyone will delight in the shopping extravaganza featuring 20 distinctive vendors.

 

During the delicious luncheon, longtime supporter and board member of  The Women’s Fund, Amy Pierce, will receive the Sue Trammell Whitfield Award for Resiliency for her involvement in strengthening the health and wellness of Houston-area women and adolescent girls through volunteerism, leadership, and philanthropy. As well, Dorothy Gibbons, CEO and cofounder of The Rose, will receive The John P. McGovern Foundation Champion in Women’s Health and Wellness Award for her dedication to providing exemplary and compassionate service for adolescent girls’ and women’s health and wellness.

 

Everyone is invited to attend this enjoyable event and support the mission to help more adolescent girls and women lead happier, healthier, and more resilient lives.
