Aphasia is difficulty with communication, speaking or understanding words, as a result of a stroke or brain injury. Participants and caregivers attend HARC for supported communication, recreation, and camaraderie to fully participate in life. HARC dedicates themselves to generating awareness and support, facilitating research, and fostering wellness and recovery in a life-affirming environment.
Luncheon Chairs Belinda and Corky Hillhouse along with Honorary Chairs Fady Armanious and Bill Baldwin will welcome guests to a fun-filled luncheon with a performance by the HARC Heralds Choir. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win exciting items. Guest speaker Sarah Scott joined by her mother Joanie Scott will share her experience with aphasia, which resulted after she suffered a stroke when she was 18 years old.
