The Health Museum To Host Two Offbeat

Valentine's Experiences Focused on the Heart

Calling All Galentine’s and Valentine’s for Dinner, Drinks and Heart Dissections!

The Health Museum, an interactive health science museum located in the heart of the Houston Museum District, will host two off-beat events for the Valentine season – a new Galentine’s Heartstrings and the annual Valentine’s Heartstrings Unraveled on February 13 and 14, 2025, respectively.

For all ride-or-dies, brunch queens, and science nerds that want to ditch the clichés and spend Galentine’s Day slicing into something juicier than a group chat with the squad, they can make plans to dive into an experience that’s both educational and entertaining exploring the wonders of the heart with the besties in tow.

Gal pals can join the fun at Galentine’s Heartstrings on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:30-8 p.m. for light bites, charcuterie; unlimited beer, wine, a signature cocktail, and non-alcoholic drinks; a guided interactive heart dissection led by Dr. Varsha Podduturi, Deputy Medical Examiner at the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office; access to all museum exhibits; and photo opportunities as well as complimentary parking in the museum’s surface lot. Tickets are $55 for Members and $65 for nonmembers.

For those looking to share Valentine’s Day with their partner in a new and unique way, The Health Museum is again offering their annual and highly anticipated Heartstrings Unraveled on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 6-10 p.m.

The evening offers a three-course candlelit dinner of salad, made-to-order pasta (including vegan and vegetarian options), and dessert; unlimited wine and beer and other non-alcoholic beverages; access to all exhibits at The Health Museum; photo ops; and free parking.

Following dinner, couples will explore the anatomy of love through an interactive heart dissection experience led by Dr. Jonathan Zalamea, a Family Medicine, Primary Care and Sports Medicine physician with Houston Methodist. No dissection experience is required and is recommended for ages 16 and up. The cost per person is $130 for Members and $150 for nonmembers.
